Methodology

A tropical night is one where the minimum temperature stays above 20°C, making sleep uncomfortable. Annual tropical nights are calculated as the 2018–2023 average from Meteocat weather station data. Fewer tropical nights means a cooler summer. Green indicates the coolest summers.
