Methodology and data sources

Onviure compares Catalonia's 43 comarques using official, measured data: housing prices, climate, safety, air quality, income and more. This page documents where every figure comes from, which period it covers, and how many comarques have a genuinely measured value.

Real data only — never estimates

Every figure on Onviure comes from a real, measured source: official statistics, monitoring stations, election results or actual property listings. We publish no estimates, interpolations or invented values.

When a data point doesn't exist for a comarca, we show nothing — rather than estimating it. Estimated records are excluded at the source, before they can reach the site.

  • Air quality: 14 comarques have no monitoring station — we show no value for them.
  • Safety: 3 comarques have no data published by the Mossos d'Esquadra — we show no value for them.
  • Unemployment and population growth: 7 comarques (Bages, Osona, Segarra, Solsonès, Vallès Oriental, Moianès and Lluçanès) have not had these indicators republished by Idescat since the 2025 comarcal boundary change.

AI-generated summaries

The narrative summary at the top of each comarca page is generated with AI, strictly from the measured data documented on this page. The AI writes prose; it never produces figures — every number comes from the sources above.
